Today an army of aphids invaded our plants and ate everything we had. I couldn't believe it, neither could any of my friends. Also a chrysalis fell off the tree. Someone taped it back on again. One of my larger friends is dying because he ate too many aphids.
I feel like crying. Hopefully the aphids will give up and go home. On the brighter side there are lots of off-spring so when my time comes to turn into a chrysalis I will have a large selection of family to hand it on to.

Welcome to our blog for 2008. We are a Year 5 and 6 class at Long Bay Primary School here on the North Shore of Auckland in New Zealand. In Room 16 we have been keeping caterpillars. We have also been learning about diaries. So we have decided to keep a caterpillar's diary. Keep checking to see how the caterpillars are getting on. We also complete a sudoku in class each week to keep our brain active. Try one when you check our blog out and tell us what you think.
